The DORCAS Community Project proudly celebrated its 40th anniversary with a vibrant weekend of health, wellness, gratitude, and community spirit. The Vitality Health & Wellness Expo, brought together civic leaders, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and local residents for an impactful day of service.
Health & Wellness Expo Highlights
The Expo welcomed over 100 attendees, all eager to engage with the wide range of health screenings, wellness workshops, and community support services available throughout the day. We were honoured to host special VIP guests, including local counsellors and the Mayor of Wandsworth, whose presence underscored the importance of community-led health initiatives.
A dedicated team of more than 25 volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly—supporting registration, guiding attendees, assisting health practitioners, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for all.
Thanksgiving Service
The weekend concluded with a beautiful Thanksgiving Service, attended by over 50 people, reflecting on four decades of service, compassion, and community impact. The programme was hosted by Colin Anderson, whose thoughtful leadership set a reverent and celebratory tone.
The congregation was blessed with special music from The Golden Cords and Sharon Niles, whose performances lifted hearts and reminded everyone of God’s faithfulness throughout the years.

The 40th anniversary events highlighted the enduring mission of the DORCAS Community Project: to serve, uplift, and empower the community through practical support, compassion, and Christ‑centred love. We extend heartfelt thanks to every volunteer, attendee, partner, and supporter who contributed to making this milestone celebration truly memorable.
